Abstract

295,820. Bittner, C., Endres, H., and Fischer, P. C. July 26, 1927. Brakes, arrangement and disposition of.-Brake drums 137 are fixed on the outer ends of the main differential shafts 85, 86 which drive the front and rear wheels through chain gear 101, 106. The drums are engaged by bands 138 which are carried by posts 139 and are tightened by pins 144 eccentrically mounted on the operating shaft 142. Since all four wheels are driven through the shafts 85, 86, the brakes 137 also act on all the wheels.
