Abstract

220,875. Krogsgaard, C. A. Dec. 21, 1923. Transmission mechanism for speed indicators or odometers on motor vehicles of the " Ford " type described in Specification 23226/13, [Class 79 (v), Motor vehicles, Steering &c.], comprises a gear wheel 9 secured to the power transmission shaft 5 immediately behind the clutch spring support 7, and meshing with a gear 10 which rotates in bearings carried on the transmission cover plate 11. A flexible shaft 13 connects with the indicating instrument. The spur wheels 9, 10 may be replaced by a belt, chain or worm drive, or the wheel 9 may be formed to act as the clutch spring support.
