Force-feed lubricating.-A spur wheel a coacts with a curved wall d, which encloses the wheel in the direction of rotation to near the point of engagement with a pinion b, so as to form a pump, whereby oil admitted from the gear casing c through: an adjustable valve e is forced to the point of engagement. Oil dripping from the latter is caught in a chamber f, from which oil is supplied to the bearings of the pinion shaft h by rings g. Oil is supplied to the bearings of the wheel shaft m by rings l from a chamber k connected to the chamber f by a conduit i. The chamber f is provided with an overflow passage n.
