Abstract

287,417. Junkers, H. Oct. 3, 1927. Movable-abutment type; discharge suction pipes and passages for pumps.-Lubricant is circulated in an engine by means of a gear pump 8 having three or more rotors 1 - - 3, the intakes 4, 6 being connected by separate pipes 15, 16 with collecting chambers 10, 12 which are under different pressures or from which different kinds of lubricant are drawn, while the pump inlets 5, 7, through each of which issues a mixture of the lubricants drawn into the corresponding pair of intakes, are connected either to separate delivery pipes to a common delivery pipe 18 connected to the bearings 13, 14. Air may be supplied to one or more of the intakes, whereby some of the delivery pipes carry a mixture of oil and others carry solely oil.
