Holders. - In holders for bulbs having Edison caps, the screw - threaded metal socket 10 is loosely arranged relatively to the terminal block 3 and is clamped in contact with one of the terminals by an insulating sleeve 2 by which the socket is surrounded. In the constructions, shown, the outer terminal 4 is connected to a metal ring 8 mounted on the underface of the block 3 and the socket 10 is provided with an out-turned flange which is clamped in contact with the ring 8, either by a shoulder in the sleeve 2 when the cap 1 of the holder is screwed into the sleeve, as shown in Fig. 1, or by the top edge of the sleeve, when the cap is screwed over this, as shown in Fig. 2. The sleeve may have a flared mouth 11.
