Tread bands.-A series of forged or stamped metal yokes 1, each provided with a tread projection 3, 4 in the shape of a cross, are fitted at, their ends with channelled plates 5 through which the side retaining- chassis 6 are threaded. For use as twin tyres the yokes 1 may be formed with projections adapted to engage between the tyre treads.
