Air, supplying; forced draught systems.-In a steam boiler or other furnace fitted with an economizer a and an air heater b, the latter is arranged above the economizer which is made of less width than the boiler g to provide side spaces to accommodate the hot air delivery pipes d, Fig. 1, or the cold air supply pipes c, Fig. 4. The pipes d discharge into a horizontal channel e from which conduits lead to the firebox. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also a construction in which a number of boilers are arranged side by side, the channel e being extended so that hot air may be supplied to the firebox of a boiler which itself has no air heater. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
