Abstract

295,782. Travis, W. E. June 1, 1927. Blast -apparatus; steam, supplying. - In a boiler furnace steam is delivered in a downwardly inclined direction over the fire from a perforated steam pipe T arranged above the fire-door and also above the firebridge from nozzles M supplied with steam through pipes P extending through the ashpit. The steam delivered over the firebridge is stated to create a vacuum in the flue. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 19812/96, 10454/04, 24130/12, and 159,859.
