Abstract

267,627. British Launderers' Research Association, Parker, R. G., and Jackman, D. N. Dec. 22, 1925. Bourdon pressure gauges.-The pressure tube 1 is connected by a link 4 to a lever 5 carrying a toothed rack or quadrant 14 engaging with a pinion 13 on an arbor 12 carrying the indicating hand, the lever being mounted on a plate 9 which is movable in relation to the arbor in order to give a variable zero adjustment. The instrument is particularly intended for use with the means for determining the weight of the contents of receptacles described in Specification 259,662, [Class 143, Weighing-apparatus], in which it is necessary to provide for variation of the zero of the instrument in order that it may read " zero " under the dead weight of the empty receptacle. The plate 9 is pivoted about the same centre as, and carries the arbor 12, and is provided with an arm held against an adjusting screw 19 by a spring 18. The link 4 is adjustably connected to the lever 5 by a screw and slot. The dial is graduated in weights and volumes and the bezel is provided with adjustable indicators which may be set to indicate particular weights or volume.
