Abstract
264,772. Stone, A. W. Nov. 15, 1926. Wave energy, utilizing.-A wave motor comprises a pivoted lever 6, Fig. 3, to which is secured a vane 10, preferably vertically adjustable, and weights 12. A cable 19, having its ends secured to the lever above and below the pivot, passes around two loose pulleys 36 and an adjustable tensioning, pulley 42, the loose pulleys being adapted to rotate a shalt 34 through pawl and ratchet mechanism. The ends of the cable are connected to blocks 15, 16 which may be adjusted simultaneously bv a screwed shaft 17, pulleys 21, 23 and an endless band 22. The motor may comprise a set of units having vanes varying in area as shown in Fig. 11, and a common shaft 3.
