Abstract

253,769. Noyes, W. T. Oct. 7, 1925. Tidal energy, utilizing.-Tidal water entering a chamber compresses air therein and forces it through a non-return valve B, Fig 1. As the tide falls, air is allowed to enter the chamber and operates motors on shafts C. For both directions of flow, the water operates a wheel K', Fig. 2, driving a shaft D' and dynamos C<1>. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 11731/12, 125,226, 128,399, 154,188, 166,739, and 181,744.
