Air - healing stoves; gas fires; draught, regulating; outlets to chimneys. - In a gas heating stove of the kind having an opening exposing the flames, and containing an air-heater comprising a series of tubes extending between tube-plates, the tubes and tubeplates form a detachable unit. The stove shown comprises a body a with a horizontal partition d at about mid-height. A vertical partition g in the lower part forms the back of a combustion chamber f, open at the front and containing tubular radiants j. The air for combustion is heated in a space formed between the partition g and another z behind it. The combustion gases pass through an opening in the partition d to a chamber m, and around tubes p extending between tube-plates n, o. On removing the cover c the tubes and tube-plates can be lifted out as a unit. Air passes from a chamber u in the rear lower part of the stove through openings v to a space t, and thence through the tubes p to a space r, from which it passes through openings w to the room. The combustion products pass from the chamber m, through a conduit x, to a vertical flue y extending up a chamber y<1> and' entering the lower end of the chimney flue y<3>. Air enters the chamber y<1> from the chamber u, is heated by contact with the flue y, and passes with the gases into the chimney y<3>.
