Gas cooking-stoves.- In a gas cooking-stove of the kind in which the oven is heated by the same burners as the hot-plate, the burners g are supplied with heated air from chambers c which extend the full height of the oven and are open at the bottom for the admission of air, an opening a<3> being provided in the form shown at the bottom of each chamber c. The gases from the burners pass into the oven through openings f in the roof and escape through an opening h<1> to the flue h, which may extend upwards and carry a plate-rack as shown in Fig. 1. A grilling burner with a deflector j<2>, j may be provided beneath a partition j<1>. Vertical fins extending across the chambers c and indicated by dotted lines in Fig. 1 are preferably provided. In a modification the gases pass through a jacket surrounding the oven, whieh they do not enter.
