Abstract
190,785. Ure, A. M. Sept. 24, 1921. Combined open fireplaces and cooking.stoves.- A combination sitting-room fireplace and cooking range comprises an open fire-place B having a boiler A behind which is a flue C<2> controlled by a damper F<1>. Facing into the adjoining room is an oven D, above which is a hot-plate. A flue C leads from the back of the fire-place beneath the boiler and oven to side and top oven flues C<1>, the latter communicating directly with the chimney E below and at the back of the hot-plate, where it is controlled by a damper F. Baffles L in the top and bottom oven flues distribute the flow of the gases. A regulator M in the bottom flue may be used to control the oven temperature or to cause a draught to the back of the fire. An opening N with removable cover is provided in the bottom of the oven to allow utensils to be quickly heated over it. 0<1> is a removable fire-cover with an opening O.
