Motor power plant.-In a plant wherein two or more turbines a, b connected in series drive electric generators c, d, or pumps and the like, connected in parallel, the proper distribution of the load between the shafts is maintained by the provision of a high-pressure turbine section g in front of the low-pressure turbine b. The supply of high-pressure steam to the section g may be controlled by a special speed governor h, or by a device responsive to the pressure in the turbine b, or by a device responsive either to electrical changes in the generator d or, if the machine d is a pump, to the final pressure of the pump.
