Abstract
391,080. Motor power plant. AKT.- GES. BROWN, BOVERI, ET CIE, Baden, Switzerland. Dec. 30, 1932, No. 36878. Convention date, Jan. 19. Addition to 316,204, [Class 110 (iii), Turbines &c.] [Class 110 (iii).] In a motor power plant comprising a reciprocating engine a a geared exhaust turbine b, and an elastic coupling e, f, as described in the parent Specification, one half f of the coupling is mounted on the crank shaft of the reciprocating engine, and the other half e on the wheel shaft of the large gear d. Two exhaust turbines may be used, and a high pressure engine may be arranged in front 'of the reciprocator, all' being geared to a common shaft. If the turbine is uncoupled, the parts of the elastic coupling e, f may be bolted together.
