Band-saw machines.-A band-saw for use in tree felling, log sawing or cross cutting has a bow frame a carrying the saw pulleys b, b<1>, supporting and guide rollers j, j, and an adjustable jockey pulley d for tightening the band. The frame is pivoted on a base f, so as to swing in a horizontal plane, the base also carrying the driving motor h. A radius arm k projecting from the base is provided with holes k<1> for anchoring the device, and with a pulley m over which passes a cable l for feeding the saw. For sawing legs the machine is mounted on a wheeled carriage o with an inclined top, the position of the guide rollers j being adjusted to correspond. For cross cutting in a vertical plane, the frame pivot is arranged horizontally and the saw fed by gravity.
