Non - reactive steering mechanism for separately pivoted wheels; steering-gear.-The front truck A of a compound vehicle is steered by means of a steering shaft 19 Fig. 4, operating the front wheels 9<1> of the truck A. The steering arms 31 of the wheels 9<1> are pivoted to rods 29, 30 which are also pivoted to a part 28 rotatable by an arm 26 which is connected to the shaft 19 through an arm 24, pin 23, and worm gear. The wheels are thus moved through different angles. When the steer. ing wheel is moved the truck A aligns itself with the wheels 9<1> and then moves straight forward. Stops 32 on the body 5 limit the angularity of the truck, while stops 33, 34, Fig. 4, limit that of the worm gear driven by the shaft 19. The rear truck B is automatically steered by means of a telescopic arm 35 adjustably secured to the body.
