Abstract

249,750. Ormerod, H. B. Sept. 16, 1925. Springs, arrangement of.-A spring suspension for a motor vehicle comprises an ordinary semi-elliptic spring 3 pivoted to the rear axle 1 of the vehicle, and a laminated spring 8 pivoted at its middle portion 9 to the frame 6 and having its ends respectively connected to the frame and to the front end of the spring 3 the rear end of which is connected to the frame. As shown, the connection between the adjacent ends of the springs 3, 8 comprises a clamp 7, and the other ends of the spring work between rollers 4, 11 and pins 13, 14 carried by brackets 5, 12 on the frame.
