Cam-actuated pumps; stroke, varying; regulating delivery of two or more combined pumps.- Light fuel at starting and heavy fuel during normal running are injected through a nozzle 3 on to a hot bulb 1 which contains a preheating- coil 26 for the heavy fuel. The light and heavy fuels are supplied by separate pumps both actuated by a tappet 10 having steps formed on the periphery thereof in such a manner that, by rotation of the tappet, the stroke of the light fuel pump is progressively decreased and that of the heavy fuel pump increased, or vice versa.
