Cam-actuated pumps; singleacting suction-valveless piston pumps; relief devices.-The fuel for an internal combustion engine is supplied by a piston pump 24 having spring-pressed relief valve 54 to limit the delivery through the pipe 39. The piston is worked by the radial cam 29, and fuel is admitted both above and below the piston by the passage 37.
