Abstract
239,521. Sejvl, J. Sept. 4, 1924, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Act]. Protective a r - rangements. - An electric cable, especially for use in mines is provided with an outer coating of insulated conductors connected in series and carrying a voltage lower than that in the m a i n conductor and so arranged that if the auxiliary conductor is broken the current in the main conductor is cut off. The current in the auxiliary conductor 4 may be supplied from the main conductors 1 through a resistance or by means of a transformer 10, and the conductor 4 is connected with a relay 9 which, when the current in the conductor 4 ceases, allows the automatic switch 7, 8 to open and cut off the current in in the main conductor.
