Diaphragms.-A diaphragm for sound emitting .or receiving apparatus is formed of two thin metallic discs a, b having ribs e, f, g which fit one in another, a layer c of oily or viscous material being enclosed between the discs a, b. The assembled discs may be framed in a ring of caoutchouc d or may have two rings of caoutchouc or other non-sonorous material placed on opposite sides thereof.
