Abstract

Manure and lime distributors.-The container increases in size from the top downwards and has a hinged bottom which is continually shaken, so as to discharge the manure &c. through any adjustable opening, by means of toothed or camshaped wheels mounted below it and driven from the travelling wheels. The bottom plate b is hinged to the front wall a and carries rollers d resting on toothed wheels g on a shaft f driven by chains o. The teeth on the wheels g areshaped so as to raise the plate b slowly and let it drop suddenly. The wheels g are protected by angle plates s. The discharge opening i is adjusted by means of a flap k actuated by a lever l. The inclination of the container relatively to the pole D is adjusted by means of a screw t and a bolt y passing through a slotted plate x which is graduated to indicate the inclination of the plate. b or the quantity of manure discharged.
