Abstract

231,769. Griffith, F. W. Oct. 17, 1924. Fastenings for attachÚ &c. cases; hasp fastenings.-A device for preventing accidental unfastening of attache &c. cases comprises a swivel arm 7 mounted at one side of the hasp 10 and adapted to be turned to a position over the hasp. The arm 7 may be mounted on the body of the case, or on the lock casing 5, or on a detachable U-shaped clip 3, Fig. 5, which fits on the edge of the body of the case and carries a pivot pin 6 or screw. The arm 7 and clip 3 may be of curved cross-section for greater strength, and the arm may be cranked if necessary to pass over the hasp.
