Washing-apparatus with screens.-Apparatus for dehydrating coal, sluge, &c. by draining, and applicable for removing, together with washing- water, the waste fine material in the small coal which accumulates at the pit-head, comprises a rotary foraminous cylinder 1 into one end of which the coal is fed by a shoot 4 and fixed scrapers 2 which cause the coal to move laterally to the discharge shoot 6 during the rotation of the cylinder.
