Abstract

Oompound or articulated road vehicles.-In a tractor and ssmi-trailer combination in which the wheels of the trailer are steered, the sliding connections comprise two longitudinal members q connected at their forward ends to a transverse lever which is centrally pivoted at n to the trailer, this lever having a forward telescopie extension m, l connected to a bracket h on the rear of a tractor. The tractor wheels may be carried on a centrally pivoted axle or on separate axles. The tractor body may consist of a dropped rear portion and a raised front portion, both having seats for passengers, while a luggage section v and seats u may be provided on the roof. The tractor side frames may be bent inwards, at the rear to clear the wheels.
