Fluid-actuated valves.- A water control valve 40a in a humidifying system comprises a pressure chamber communicating with a pressure fluid pipe and a spray nozzle, and a spring- pressed plunger valve 47 associated with a flexible diaphragm 44 forming one wall of the chamber and normally closing a port 48 in a pipe 40 leading from a water supply pipe. The combined pressure of the water and fluid is sufficient to open the port and admit water to the spray nozzle, and automatic means are provided to shut off the fluid pressure and so close the port when the humidity rises beyond a predetermined amount.
