Abstract
201,700. Summers, L. G. June 6, 1922. Combined open fireplaces and cooking-stoves; kitchen-ranges; grates.-In domestic fireplaces, of the kind in which an open stove and a kitchen range, disposed back to back in a wall H, separating two adjoining rooms, are served by a single grate A carried on a. rotatable annular framing B which surrounds a cylindrical boiler F having a central vertical flue G, a radial passage G<1> leads direct from the kitchen fireplace to the bottom of the flue G. The flue G is provided with a damper G<2> near its upper end which delivers into the dampered flue H<1> leading from the kitchen fireplace. The dividing wall H is arranged to provide separate shafts J, J<1> for the respective fireplaces, and separate flues, having dampers N<1>, K<2>, are provided leading from the flue under the hot plate L and the flue surrounding the oven K respectively.
