Abstract

201,606. Spence, W. L. April 26, 1922. Elastic valves.-A double acting charging pump for an internal-combustion engine may be used to inflate tyres; for this purpose the normal delivery passage D is closed by a valve F to reduce the clearance and the carburettor connected to the pump inlet C<1> is bye-passed by an air inlet G. The valve F consists of a watchspring which is unwound by a knob to seat on the end of the passage D.
