Abstract
199,415. Frommer, R. von. Dec. 23, 1921. Breech actions, drop-down barrel.-An ejectorless gun is provided with cavities for the reception of ejector elements, so that it can be converted into an ejector gun without structural alteration. The ejector mechanism may consist of an ejector proper and a tripping member constructed as separate units. In the construction shown, the sliding ejector hammer 9, Fig. 2, spring 10 and sear 11 are mounted on a frame adapted to fit in a slot 28, Fig. 1, in the fore-end and to be retained by a spring catch 31. The sear-tripping member 2, with its retaining spring catch 4, is mounted in a hole in the 'breech-body and is secured by a bolt 29, Fig. 8. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Spccifications 14969/86 and 6148/89.
