Abstract

198,324. Gregoire, P. J. May 23, 1922, [Convention date]. Valves.-A single sleeve valve 8 is formed with ports 18 controlling admission through ports 15, and with ports 19 which, during the exhaust period, first communicate with discharge passages 16 and afterwards with pump chambers 14, into which the combustion products are withdrawn, being subsequently forced therefrom through ports 20 in the valve and an annular passage 21 in the main piston to the discharge ports 16. The sleeve valve is driven from a crank-pin 3, and the pump piston 12 from a third crank-pin 4.
