Belts.-In a driving-belt of the kind in which tapered or V-shaped friction blocks are secured to the underside of metal plate links hooked together to form a continuous chain, the metal links A are formed with a hook A<1> at one end a " stirrup " slot A<2> at the other end, the friction blocks B, each of which is attached to two screws C. preventing disconnection of the, chain links. The tapered friction blocks are wider than the chain links to prevent contact of metal parts with the pulley groove.
