Lubricant conveyed by fluid.-A lubricator for air-compressors &c. is designed to supply a small quantity of oil to the cylinder of the compressor at each stroke. The lubricator 1 is screwed into the cylinder cover and communicates with the interior by a passage 5. On the compression stroke, air passes through the passage 5 to a passage 4 in a plug 3 dipping into the oil 2, and, passing a check valve 10, bubbles through the oil. On the return stroke, the air charged with a small quantity of oil is sucked through a passage 8 and a check valve 7 into the passage 5, and thence into the cylinder.
