7186. Bowden Wire, Ltd., and Larkin, G. F. March 22. Brake mechanism.- In brake and other like operating - levers for cycles, motor-cycles, &c., of the kind in which an inner Bowden or other control wire is mounted within the handle-bar and moved at its end in a straight path by an inverted operating-lever, the wire is attached to a split block f, which is guided by and slides inside a hollow plug a fixed within the end of the handle - bar. As shown, the lever e is pivoted at g to the block and slotted at h to engage a pin d carried by lugs or wings c upon the plug. The lever may, however, have a fixed fulcrum connexion with the wings c, and be forked at its upper end to engage the block. A cap i closes the end of the plug.
