Abstract

10,651. Veulle, F. H. de. April 30. Control mechanism.-In control mechanism for motor-vehicles, more particularly motor-cycles, a solid or unslotted body portion A is recessed above and below to receive grooved disks E which are connected to transmission wires Hand actuated by control levers F, G, both levers moving in the same direction relative to their wires. Each disk may, as shown, be integral with its lever, or the lever may be separate from the disk and connected thereto as by a peg or the equivalent engaging the disk. The body portion A has roughened faces D<2> to engage with corresponding roughened parts on a washer M and the clip L, spring washers being arranged between the upper lever and the washer M and between the lower lever and the clip. The mechanism is reversible, being such that it may be fitted to either side of a motor-cycle handle-bar.
