Abstract

190,684. Pendlebury, T. June 23, 1922. Controlling different functions by same lever; pedals and pedal levers, mounting.-A pedal controlling both the throttle and the brake is mounted on a central fulcrum at B so that the foot can be rested on the pedal without operating either control. The brake rod is connected to the pedal by a swivel joint at D, operating only in one direction, and the throttle connection is a telescopic member E so that as the brake is applied the inner member of E simply slides outwards without affecting the throttle mechanism and conversely the throttle can be operated without the brake being applied.
