Abstract

6111. Henry, J. S. March 11. Centrifugal-action lubricating. - The pistons and cylinders of revolving - cylinder internalcombustion engines are lubricated by oil supplied to the crank-shaft through a passage N' and conveyed to the cylinders by centrifugal action, through pipes such as E. The oil is also supplied to the crank-shaft, crank-pin, and gudgeon-pin bearings. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 7454/96, 23,884/04, 11,897/08, [all in Class 7, Air and gas engines], and 4787/09, [Class 7(ii), Internal-combustion engines, Arrangement &c. of], 17,565/09, and 27,452/09, 12,036/10, 16,299/10, 17,876/10, and 26,911/10, [all in Class 7(ii), Internal-combustion engines, Arrangement &c. of].
