Composition fuel.-Peat having short and fine fibres, or peat moss, or the like, is mixed in a water-saturated condition, preferably after removing earthy and non-combustible substances, with a readily ignitable adhesive such as " terra- " elastin," described in Specification 28,047/09, [Class 70, India-rubber &c.], and the mixture is compressed lightly to form porous hygroscopic briquettes which form water-gas during combustion.
