Abstract

187,380. Heylman, F. C. Aug. 15, 1921. Plug cocks. -A conical valve plug 4 is provided with an operating stem 5 and a stem 6 to assist in centering it. Packing rings 7, 8 are held against the flat shoulders of the plug by flanges 9, 10 secured by studs 11, 12 or alternatively, separate flanged rings are provided to enclose the packing, and the flanges 9, 10 are bolted to these.
