Pistons. - The piston of a doubleacting internal-combustion engine consists of two heads 3, 4 secured to a flange 2 on the piston-rod by bolts 5 the nuts of which are situated in recesses in the heads. The clearance can be adjusted by means of washers inserted between the flange 2 and the heads.
