Cylinders, mounting heads of.-A conical ring D, which, according to the parent Specification, clamps together a cylinder barrel A and its head B which are made of dissimilar metals, is fixed to the head B by bolts E or set screws screwed into the ring. The ring and the barrel are made of metals having approximately the same coefficient of expansion. The bolts E may be vertical or inclined as shown, and are preferably made of a metal having a lower coefficient of expansion than that of the head; bosses B<2> may be separate from and have a higher coefficient of expansion than the head.
