[Class 7 (ii)] Pistons 8, 9 rigidly connected to each other and working in diametrically-opposed cylinders 6, 7, drive the crankshaft 1 through a single rod 11 connected to the piston 8, the corresponding dead-centre positions of which are farther from the shaft 1 than those of the piston 9.
