160,638. Twine, W. F. Feb. 10, 1920. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Padlocks, jewellery snap. - The casing 3 of a jewellery padlock contains a removable curved spring 6 with a catch 7 for engaging the member 4 to be locked, and a part 9 for disengaging the catch 7 from the locked member 4. The casing has an aperture 8 through which the member 9 protrudes, and a lip 10 prevents too great a displacement of the spring in disengaging the catch. The spring is inserted after the casing is completed, the member 9 being forced into the aperture 8.
