Impeller blades, construction of.-In a hydraulic centrifugal pump of the axial radial flow type, the rotor blades are formed with inlet angles # less than one-eighth of the outlet angles # and with the sum of all the blade areas not more than one and a half times the area of the surface generated by an inlet edge of a blade in revolution. The inlet angles may be negative as shown in Fig. 6.
