212,879. Giesberger, H. March 15, 1923, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Act]. Leakage-preventing devices.-Leakage between the back of the impeller and the stator 3 of a centrifugal pump is prevented by a set of auxiliarv blades 6<1>. The face of the rotor provided with the auxiliary blades is inclined in a direction opposite to that of the face carrying the working blades 6, and its diameter is greater. A disc 8 on the shaft presents liquid from reaching the bearings when the pump stops; the leakage liquid impinges on the disc and flows out of the housing by the pipe 9.
