Abstract

The dyestuffs are free of carboxylic acid and sulphonic acid groups and correspond to the formula (I) <IMAGE> in which R, R<1>, Y, A, K<(+)> and X<(-)> have the meaning given in Claim 1. They are prepared by diazotising an aromatic amine of the formula (II) <IMAGE> and coupling the resulting diazonium salt with a pyridone of the formula (III) <IMAGE> or coupling it with an acylacetic acid ester and then reacting the coupling product in the presence of a catalyst and of a solvent with a salt of an acetamide containing a cationic group.
