Abstract

1520191 Mounting printing plates G CIGNA 19 Jan 1976 [27 Feb 1975] 01923/76 Heading B6C A strap for attaching a printing element, e.g. a mounting sheet carrying plates to a cylinder comprises an elastic band 13 (Fig. 8) having a hook 14 at one end for insertion into a slot in the cylinder, and a plate 15 at the other having a slot 16 with an enlarged mouth 17 for engagement with a stud on the element. The stud may be as shown in Fig. 7 wherein part 9 is inserted through a hole in sheet 1, and part 11 slid over part 9 on the other side of the sheet, the flanges formed by depression 10 being turned over to grip the member 11 and hold the sheet between the members. The groove 12 has an inner diameter less than the width of slot 16, whilst outer diameter is greater than this width, but less than the diameter of mouth 17. The other end of sheet 1 is provided with a hook to enter into a slot in the cylinder.
