Abstract

824,990. Locking bolt-like pins; dowelling. CARR FASTENER CO. Ltd. March 26. 1958 [March 26, 1957], No. 9898/57. Classes 89(1) and 89(2) A method of securing members 6, 7, Fig. 3, to one another, comprises mounting a fastener 1, Fig. 2, on each member, inserting one end of a stud 4 into the aperture 2 of one fastener, assembling the other member with its fastener aperture aligned with the stud, and applying pressure to force the members towards each other. The edges of the apertures have prongs 3 to grip the stud, and the members have holes 8 to guide and receive the stud ends. In a modification, more than one aperture is provided in each fastener and a stud is provided for each pair of co-operating apertures.
