Abstract

1517404 Reciprocating pumps JUNGHEINRICH UNTERNEHMUNGS VERWALTUNG KG 20 Oct 1976 [15 Nov 1975] 43415/76 Heading F1A The piston 12 of an hydraulic reciprocating pump has a valved passage 14 which is opened during the downstroke when the load exceeds a given value thus reducing the effective cross-section of the piston to that of the rod 9. A second valved passage 22 allows discharge of fluid from the chamber 18 above the piston on the upstroke. In a modification the opening of passage 22 is controlled by limited axial movement of the piston on the rod Figs. 2, 3 (not shown).
